But the reality is, I have to work with all kinds of computers in my line of work. Of course that doesn’t stop me from making PCs handed to me at work look as Mac-like as possible. Since starting my new job more than a month ago, I was handed a Dell. I’ll admit, no complaints…yet, but the one thing that was driving me crazy was not having my Mac dock bar with all my apps neatly organised in one place. And, well, it just looks cool. Last week, I found RocketDock, which is a free and brilliant application that allows you to install a “Mac-like” dock bar on your PC. I didn’t have to think twice about installing this on my Dell. So far, it works smoothly and looks great (and it didn’t take up much space either). If you want, you can fully customize your dock bar, too. Check out RocketDock’s addons page for all kinds of icons, skins, docklets and much more for free. Now, I can go to work and turn on my Dell happy in the morning.
